Den danske sangerinde Marie Dahlstrøm, der har haft base i London de sidste seks år, er kendt for sin varme og æteriske blanding af jazz, soul og R&B. Hun har netop udgivet singlen ”A Loveletter – An Improvisation”, som en forsmag på hendes første album i fuld længde, der udkommer i 2020.
Med sin rå, følelsesladede og ubesværede vokal synger hun om at have fundet kærligheden, mens de indtagende harmonier indsvøbes af milde akkordprogressioner i klaveret.
Dahlstrøm har frugtbare samarbejder med bl.a. Tom Misch og Alfa Mist med i bagagen og efter tolv måneders arbejde på sit debutalbum, er hun endelig klar til at løfte sløret for hendes nye materiale.
