International star drummer and bandleader Rajiv Jayaweera is back in Denmark!
Rajiv Jayaweera is truly a global citizen, a fact that permeates and weaves its way into his playing and composing. He was born in London, grew up in Melbourne, is of Sri Lankan heritage and is currently based in New York City. He completed his Bachelor of Music at the Victorian College of the Arts in 2000, and Masters in Jazz Studies at SUNY Purchase, New York in 2013.

Rajiv recently released the album “Pistils” which feature world renowned musicians such as Aaron Parks and Chris Cheek and it has received a lot of praise by the international music press....

For this concert he teams up with Swedish trumpeter Bjorn Ingelstam, Calle Brickman on piano and danish bass giant Matthias Petri for an intimate concert with some original music from both Jayaweera and Ingelstam and a few select standard tunes from the modern jazz repertoire.
