Trioen Spacelab - Hess/ AC/ Hess har spillet sammen siden ungdomsårene, og det er uklart, hvornår den tog egentlig form. Man kan tydeligt mærke den lange fælles historie på den nærmest telepatiske kommunikation, de tre musikere har, når de udfører egne såvel som fortolker andres kompositioner.
