Tradition and experimentation are two familiar territories that C'mon Tigre - a duo who find their identity by working with musicians from all over the world - can balance between very well. For their second record “Racines” (2019), they put together a multicolored collective. The title means "roots'' in French, referring to the musical roots in which C'mon Tigre's feet, head and heart are immersed, and from which their contaminated tracks sprout to create unusual and original sound environments. The result is a work in progress where bass and guitars interact with woodwind, synths, percussion, vibraphones, dipping the listener into a sensual and hypnotic musical journey. Sailing from the Mediterranean basin and being guided by the fascination for Africa and the Middle East, C'mon Tigre gives rise to a personal language, made up of mixtures with jazz, afrojazz, the rhythms of hip hop, funk, 70s disco. C’Mon Tigre played a stunning concert at Roskilde Festival in 2016, and we’re looking forward to having them back on Danish ground when they play at ALICE this September....

Italienske C'mon Tigre leverer filmisk, jazzet artrock i boblende møder med mellemøstlige klange og afrikanske rytmer. De indhyllede Roskilde Festivals Gloria-scene i forførende toner i 2016 og nu gæster de ALICE til september med fuldt band.
Tradition og eksperimenter er to umiddelbare modsætninger, som C’Mon Tigre på helt særlig vis formår at forene i deres filmiske, jazzede artrock. Gruppen blev startet af to italienske musikere og producere i 2014, som siden har været kernen i projektet. Men deres konstante nysgerrighed og udforskning af nye stilarter og -traditioner, og ikke mindst deres samarbejder med musikere fra hele verden, har med tiden formet den eklektiske lyd og -identitet, som C’mon Tigre er kendetegnet ved. Det seneste album “Racines” - fransk for “roots” - refererer til de utallige musikalske rødder som C’Mon Tigres lyd skyder op fra. Og i forbindelse med pladens tilblivelse samlede de et hold af musikere, som de også optræder med når de gæster ALICE.
Resultatet af de mange musikere samlet fra forskellige kontinenter og traditioner, er et lydbillede i konstant bevægelse. I C’Mon Tigres jazzede, filmiske artrock, spiller bas og forførende guitarsekvenser op imod bombastiske blæsersektioner, synths, analog trommemaskine, percussion og vibrafoner, og repetitive riffs, afrojazz og mosaikker af arabiske melodier tager lytteren med på en forførende rejse over Middelhavet. Det er musik som - ifølge bandet selv - kan få selv en slange til at danse. Teksterne kredser om filmiske temaer, og C’Mon Tigre har derfor også arbejdet med visuelle kunstnere på deres udgivelser. Bl.a. udkom “Racines” med en bog med levende 3D-animationer, der skulle give et ekstra lag til musikken.
C’Mon Tigre har i løbet af årene spillet på festivaler over hele verden, heriblandt Roskilde Festival i 2016. Vi glæder os til de kommer tilbage på dansk jord når de gæster ALICE til september.
