Here Clara Vuust forms a duo with jazz guitarist Jeppe Holst, who also performs in her three albums. They use the duo form to play freely with the songs with an intriguing blend of Italian and French evergreens and songs from the “Great American Songbook”.

Clara Vuust trækker tråde til en vokaltradition med sangerinder som Barbra Streisand, Irene Kral og Monica Zetterlund i centrum – og dyrker et reperotoire, der er rundet af kærligheden til jazzen og “The Great American Songbook”, men også i høj grad bærer en europæisk tone, der bringer tanken til lange sommeraftener i Italien og fransk chanson…

Jazz guitaristen Jeppe Holst har medvirket alle Vuust’s albums – og de to har spillet koncerter sammen i snart 20 år. Flere vil kende ham fra samarbejdet med internationalt kendte brasilianske musikere som sangerinden Thaís Motta og percussionisten Afonso Correa – og som én af de guitarister, der forstår den svære kunst at spille en bossa nova, så den lyder som om den kommer direkte fra Rio.
Det er vokaljazz af højeste klasse, når duoen mødes omkring fortolkninger af blandt andet evergreens fra “The Great American Songbook” og italienske og franske evergreens.
