Aloft Quartet at Jazzhus Montmartre

Aloft Quartet is a Scandinavian band formed in 2016, which released their debutalbum "First Year" in 2018. “First Year is a successful debut album that presents four new and exciting jazz musicians. The fact that they also have a sense of making good compositions of the melodic kind, is an added plus. The record promises well for the Danish jazz scene of the future.” (Niels Overgaard/JazzNyt)
They play original music inspired by the modern American and Nordic jazz scene, and all members do come from the jazz tradition.
After winning a Danish Music Award for New Danish Jazz Name of the Year for "First Year", they are releasing their second studio album "Farewell Old Ways" the 6th of March. Aloft Quartet er et skandinavisk band dannet i 2016, der udgav deres debutalbum "First Year" i 2018. “First Year er et vellykket debutalbum, der får præsenteret fire nye og spændende jazzmusikere. At de samtidig også har sans for at lave gode kompositioner af den melodiske slags, er et ekstra plus. Pladen lover godt for fremtidens danske jazzscene.” (Niels Overgaard/JazzNyt)
De spiller originalmusik inspireret af den moderne amerikanske og nordiske jazzscene, og alle medlemmer kommer da også fra jazztraditionen.
Efter de vandt en Danish Music Award for Årets Nye Danske Jazznavn for "First Year", udgiver de d. 6. marts deres andet studiealbum "Farewell Old Ways".
