We are proud to celebrate Alex Riel’s 80th birthday at Montmartre as the sublime drummer takes the stage with his great musical friends and colleagues through the years. Riel was the preferred Danish drummer with many of the big American jazz musicians visiting Montmartre through the 60’s and 70’s
Alex Riel and the bassist Bo Stief has followed has been friends since the early years at Montmartre. This evening the group will present their special, tuneful universe of chamber music – with Alex Riel joining in on the drums.

Vi er stolte af at kunne fejre Alex Riels 80-års fødselsdag med et brag på Montmartre, når den sublime trommeslager atter indtager scenen med sine musikalske venner og kollegaer gennem årene. Riel var den foretrukne danske trommeslager hos mange af de store amerikanske jazzmusikere, der besøgte Montmartre gennem 60’erne og 70’erne.
Alex Riel og bassisten Bo Stief har fulgt hinanden siden de spæde år på Montmartres scene. De vil denne aften bidrage med deres særlige, velklingende kammermusikalske univers, hvor Riel vil spille med.
